New Staff Spotlight: Joe Schneider
Joe Schneider started his new role in April as golf maintenance supervisor at Heritage Oaks Golf Club, where he supervises an eight-person maintenance crew on the Classic 18 course.
Joe is passionate about presenting an impeccable course, and brings an eye for detail and a team-oriented approach to his day-to-day work. He also enjoys bringing to work his dog, Artoo, who chases away geese and charms staff and golfers.
Joe has been golfing since he was a child. He attended 美国亚利桑那州立大学 , where he studied agribusiness with an emphasis on golf facilities management. He’s been working on golf courses since his first college internship at Century Country Club in Purchase, New York, followed by an internship after graduation at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois.
Over the years, he’s worked as a first assistant golf course superintendent at Black Sheep Golf Club, in Sugar Grove, Beverly Country Club in Chicago and Old Elm Club in Highland Park. He has experience as lead assistant golf course superintendent at Walnut Creek Country Club in Michigan as well as golf course superintendent at Bryn Mawr Country Club in Lincolnwood. He also helped build The Preserve at Oak Meadows, one of the golf courses owned by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County .
Most recently, Joe worked as a senior assistant golf course superintendent at Mid Ocean Club in St. Georges, Bermuda.
