New South Wales Fires proving challenging !
It has been truly heart wrenching to witness the conditions and effects of the bushfires across NSW. My deepest condolences go out to the families of those who have lost their lives. It is a tragic time. Lives have been lost and others have been deeply affected by that loss. We are all grieving with you.
There are currently 81 fires burning across NSW, with 46 of them not contained. Fire and Rescue NSW has received and responded to over 4,200 triple zero calls in the past 24 hours. Throughout this time, we have maintained fire coverage, hazardous material response and rescue operations as part of our business as usual.
With bushfires continuing to rage throughout the state, we’re supporting the RFS through resources including firefighting units and staff of firefighters from across NSW. I want to thank our crews battling to minimise and contain the fires. Your courage and commitment encapsulates our values not just as an organisation, but as a community.
Our main priority is to protect the community. We prioritise life first. Then property. We will continue providing as much support to the RFS as we can.

5 年Heart wrenching yes, but the community spirit is incredible! The support, concern and generosity we are experiencing from people everywhere is one of the primary motivators which keep us going! Renewed faith in human nature....
