New Soundview Inks Slate for Q1 2017

Soundview Media Partners has inked deals for North American distribution for a new slate of titles, all releasing in 1st half of 2017. You can read more about each at the Soundview site (www.soundviewmediapartners.com).

"I am thrilled to have this slate come together," stated Dan Gurlitz, Soundview Founder. "Individually the films are each wonderful. Together they represent the continuation of the mission of Soundview... to document the world one film at a time. From the ghost towns of the American west to the art of Haiti to the inner workings of writing Billboard #1 hits, the slate is one hell of a lineup!"

Included among the upcoming releases are:

Ethan Knightchilde's GHOSTS OF THE WEST: THE END OF THE BONANZA TRAIL which explores the rise and fall of ghost towns in the American west. (Jan. 3, 2017)

Kevin Johnson's NO MATTER WHERE: The Healthcare Documentary about current efforts to establish the Healthcare Information Exchange across the U.S. and the inherent challenges involved.

Jacqueline Jean-Baptiste's EAVESDROPPING ON SOULS; an award winning documentation of the spectacular art of Haiti and the underlying emotional culture of its people.

Trudy Duisenberg's SOLITARY STRENGTH: The Story of Cattlewoman Dorothy Stover Hall -- the tale of a very authentic working woman and her spirited determination.

Michael Samstag and Josh Gildrie's A SOUTHERN FIX, an exploration to find solutions to pet overpopulation and the subsequent killing of shelter animals.

BARNEGIE HALL: The 13 program series explores how some of the greatest hits of all time were crafted and includes personal musical performances by the guests, as well as intimate duets performed along with host Verlon Thompson.

PRESS FOR TRUTH: After a long stint of unavailability, this film is being re-issued. “One of those rare creatures in modern media: A Sept. 11 study stripped of politics and partisanship." - NUVO News Weekly

Soundview's library of acclaimed documentaries continues to expand rapidly. The company has recently released such films as

CHRISTIANIA, the award-winning story of a squatter community occupying an abandoned military base in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark. The event took place in 1971, and the people of Christiania remain there, thriving.

The very timely RUSSELL MEANS: LAKOTA WARRIOR - Native American Militant and Activist Russell Means in an exclusive and insightful interview.

ERIC BROWN: A PILOT'S STORY. Accompanied with spectacular archival footage and rare photographs from Eric Brown’s personal library, Nicholas Jones has once again created a film that will attract the attention of aviation fans, military history buffs, students of British history and WWII enthusiasts alike.
