Hi I'm William and in 1999 me and my two younger brothers started producing beats for artists. In 2003, we formalized our group name: So Fo Real Productions, LLC. After having some success in the industry (Billboard top 10 release) and saying no to opportunities to be 'signed', we decided to focus our attention on independent artists since we believed in the creativity and experience you get when you don't have 'labels' or executives dictating how the music should sound or what should be put out. Since then I've managed and slowly grew the team to what we are today.

But as I've been making music and doing more vocal hooks myself, I've also been working on the next version of our website going on 26 months now. This new web app is designed to change the game on how artists and creators license royalty free music.? Innovation is at heart.. ever since the mid 2000s’ when I envisioned the world’s first single-page online 'beat store' where artists could go directly to the internet to buy high-quality beats at super low prices while keeping 100% of their royalties - something UNHEARD OF in the music industry at the time.

Then in 2011, I coded up the next app, introducing the first subscription-based flat-fee offer where artists could license the entire catalog for one low monthly fee, something I now see copied all over to a point of normalcy here in 2024.? Lisa the Pianist also joined us in 2012.

In 2017, I launched the current version of our website https://sfrbeats.com - designed to simplify and enhance our customers' experience shopping for beats, and I also grew our production team, adding Rich, QB, David, David R, IYFFE, and Ant1, all super amazingly talented and committed music producers.

Now, Q4 of 2024, after officially crossing the 100K signed up users mark of independent artists over the summer, it's time to innovate again.? I'm happy to announce the launch is right around the corner.. Our next goal is to achieve 1M independent artists served worldwide, while continuing to grow the catalog of fresh organic sounding beats that drive your creativity.? I’m confident the new backend systems I’ve created will be able to handle increasing traffic quickly and consistently while facilitating a one-of-a-kind experience for artists.?
