It’s been another busy quarter for the MANRS community, with new secretariat Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) focusing on making the transition as seamless as possible. Business as usual has prevailed, and here’s an update on all of it.?
- In Q1, we welcomed 23 new MANRS participants in three programs - 20 new Network Operators, 2 new IXPs, and 1 new CDN. Together, these organizations serve 41 countries around the world.
- The MANRS Community Report 2023 celebrates the strength of the MANRS initiative as we celebrate its 10th anniversary.?
- To understand how MANRS fits into GCA’s existing work, check out this blog post by GCA CTO Leslie Daigle, “Framing MANRS into the Mosaic of Cybersecurity.”?
- Research and innovation remain a key aspect of our work; learn more about ROSE-T in this guest blog post from Mariano Scazzariello, Antonio Prado, and Tommaso Caiazzi, “Verify MANRS Compliance Automatically with ROSE-T.”
- In Observatory news, this week we'll be rolling out a new version of the ROA Stats Tool (ROAST). ROAST provides an easy overview of RPKI ROA deployment and highlights potential configuration problems. The new version has a familiar look and feel consistent with the MANRS Observatory, and also provides several useful new features.
- The MANRS+ WG continues to develop the Control Matrix that defines an extended set of controls for the MANRS+ program-to-be. The focus is on detailing audit requirements to provide a high level of assurance.?
- And, sadly, no quarter is complete without major routing incidents like this one on March 11, reported by Doug Madory (Kentik).
