A new season of life ??

A new season of life ??

Going from a purposeless life to one filled with purpose and joy ?

I have to confess. I went through most of my life (almost) mindlessly. I listened to what society deemed as “good” or “the right thing to do” ?? Study hard, get good grades, get a degree, find a good job… anddddd you’re set for life!

Or so I was told.

Years on, I always gave my 100% and more at work. There was an invisible force driving me. An obsession and pressure to always “deliver”. To be that person that people can depend on to “get things done”. It gave me a rush, a sense of purpose, and more importantly a sense of worthiness. That maybe, if I got that next thing done, I would feel better about myself.

But guess what?

I still felt empty.

It never felt like I was good enough, or that whatever I did was “enough”. It didn’t matter that managers/bosses liked the work I came up with. It didn’t matter they saw things in me that I hadn’t seen in myself. (ok actually, it did matter - I felt a tiiiinnnyyy bit better about myself.)

Multiple rounds of self-discovery work, therapy and coaching over the past couple of years helped me to gain my footing and figure out for myself within safe spaces - Who am I? Who do I want to be? How do I want to show up in this world? How can I show up in this world on my own terms?

And eventually, to my own surprise, the question became - How can I show up for others in this world, while still honouring my own deepest needs and desires?

Once I found what was most important to me, I patiently grew the capacity to truly love others without expectation of return. And at the same time, I grew the capacity to set firm, loving boundaries with others.

The journey took time - and that’s why I named my social media page “A Slow Walk to Self”. I didn’t want any one to have the illusion that there are quick fixes to this journey called life. The journey back to ourselves will take time, because there are layers of thoughts, traumas, emotions to work through. The journey will be windy - some days we’d think we’re reaching the end, only to find that we are plunged into another cycle of discovering areas of ourselves we hadn’t known before. But each time, we emerge with much greater clarity of WHO WE ARE.

I’d like to invite you to start on your own version of this journey.

And if you’re willing, allow me to walk alongside you while you progress on your journey.

I am a self-discovery coach. I’m passionate about helping people uncover their deeper motivations and tap into their inner wisdom to live in alignment with their inner truth and purpose. I believe that we all possess an inherent knowing of what’s right for us. However, this inner wisdom is often clouded by conditioned behaviours shaped by societal and familial pressures. I guide my clients to recognize these conditioned patterns and consciously choose their actions, breaking free from limiting beliefs and behaviours, regardless of external triggers.

As a certified Neuro-Linguistic Enneagram Practitioner, I use the Enneagram as a tool to kick-start the journey of self-discovery. I value the Enneagram for its broad application across various stages of self-development and its connection to inner child work.
