A new season is ahead
Lakeshore Hydrant Services Inc. have been serving the private and municipal sectors for 20 years. Maintaining and inspecting pressurized fire hydrants and the fire services mains they are connected to. The addition of Dry Hydrants & Cisterns (NFPA 1142) is a natural fit. We are receiving calls from new Clients requesting inspections required by their insurance companies or fire departments. Dry Hydrants & Cisterns are a rural source of water for fire protection where there are no pressurized fire hydrants from municipal water systems. LHS Inc. have developed an extensive program for the inspection of cisterns, ponds, lakes and water ways. Each source of water presents its own set of challenges in how they can fail to function as a source of water for fire protection. What a great year we had with our new fire apparatus! We covered the Hwy 401 corridor and north to Huntsville and Ottawa Valley. Every stop was a learning experience, no two systems were the same. We encounter no draft, no water, odd fittings, sucking up stones, plants and leaches. We have utilized every feature of our truck as we strive to complete all work leaving the site compliant and exceeding current codes and standards. Developing new tools and method of inspection to ensure through investigation of each system and to be sure it is prepare for any incident, any time of year.
