New Sales Navigator Features...

New Sales Navigator Features...

Last week LinkedIn announced they're rolling out some exciting new features for Sales Navigator users, more specifically for Team Edition and Enterprise Edition. And, if you're not yet using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, you can now sign up for a 60-day free trial in stead of the usual 30-day free trial... scroll to the bottom of this post for that link.

Highlights of the new features...

The features I'm personally most excited about concern:

  1. Account Lists
  2. Homepage & Alerts
  3. SmartLinks
  4. Improved Search features

Let's have a look at the Account Lists first:

Account Lists Improvements

  • In the Enterprise Edition, users will soon be able to upload CSV files of accounts to create Account Lists. This will be a huge time-saver for companies, especially for account executives that have a sales support dept. to help them manage their accounts.
  • Also in the Enterprise Edition, companies that have their Sales Navigator accounts linked to Salesforce or MS Dynamics, those users will be soon able to view their CRM opportunity details directly within their Account Lists. Again, big timesaver as they can see everything in one platform.
  • In the Team Edition (which is what we use at Social.ONE), LinkedIn is rolling out the ability to manually set account priorities and to sort Lists by priority. I really need to see this in action, but if it is what I think it is (being able to mute certain lists from receiving updates) it will be very, very cool and the perfect solution to solve what we lost when LinkedIn removed Tags in Sales Navigator.
  • Like we reported earlier, LinkedIn recently introduced the ability to view your outreach activity within your Lead Lists. LinkedIn is now rolling out Outreach Activity to Account Lists. This is great for companies using ABM, as it shows the account executives and their managers directly what status each account is at.

Homepage & Alerts

On your Homepage, there will soon be additional alerts for accounts when a saved account is experiencing:

  • Recent layoffs
  • Talent moving to another account
  • Slowing growth
  • Updated account growth

These are great insights to stay up-to-date on what's happening at the accounts you're following, helping you make informed decisions on your next plan of action.

LinkedIn is furthermore introducing Alerts Filters and Search for Accounts and Leads on your homepage which allows you to categorize alert types by account or lead. That's something I've personally requested LinkedIn.

But again, I need to see this in action first as it sounds like a powerful feature, but I'm curious about its user-friendliness. I may need to do a special Sales Navigator Chronicle on just this topic.

SmartLinks

The update coming to SmartLinks is the new feature I'm personally most excited about... I really can't wait for this one! Remember good old PointDrive? Well, you can soon add videos and URLs to your SmartLinks ánd you will be able to disable downloads. Really, really cool!

Search Enhancements

And finally, LinkedIn will be introducing a geographic filter that will allow you to search for leads by company headquarter location. For those of you targeting larger organisations, that's huge and an often requested feature!

BONUS: LinkedIn Sales Navigator FREE for 60 days

By default, LinkedIn offers anyone signing up for Sales Navigator (Professional Edition) the option to test drive the tool free for 30 days. Well, I discovered a hidden offer that allows you to get access for free for 60 days. That means if you sign up in the next few days, your Sales Navigator will be free until around Christmas. What a great way to end the this very unusual year. Click this link or the button below (?? Warning: this offer doesn't seem to be working for everyone, so it's at your own risk ??):

Get free access to LinkedIn Sales Navigator for 60 days

I don't know how long this offer will be available, so if you want it, I recommend that you sign up today!

Perry van Beek Interesting. I'm not a big fan of Navigator. It's not really anything particular about that tool. There are a lot of great features. Search is really strong. My issue is that I don't like the division between Navigator and LinkedIn regular. But of course, Linkedin and Microsoft love to make things as complex as possible. And they got together, so...
