Role

My client is A regional house builder with a fantastic reputation is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to produce, manage and forecast build costs for allotted sites. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, your role will be to procure all necessary subcontract trades whilst managing the payment process and subsequent contractual obligations

Duties

Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies policies and processes.

Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure.

Management of the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed

Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required.

A key part of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.

Authorising and committing expenditure on the internal COINS ERP system

Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.

Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial function.

Candidate

· Experience of working with a developer on residential projects

· Quantity Surveying or similar Degree - Preferable

· A good understanding of all aspects of surveying and contractual procedures

· Understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build

· In-depth knowledge of the construction industry

· Good knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controls

· Strong personal organisational skills

· Ability to work alone but also as part of a team within a growing business

· Computer literacy

Salary and package

Up to ￡55,000 + package
