New Research Study: Understanding the Role of Qualified Individuals Under Family First Legislation

Addressing population health challenges through a Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) framework.
We are excited to announce a new research study focused on the experience of qualified individuals/independent assessors!
The Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) created the role of the qualified individual. To receive federal funding, placements at Qualified Residential Treatment Programs (QRTPs) must be reviewed by a qualified individual, also known as an independent assessor, who works independently of the state and QRTP providers. The qualified individual assesses the strengths and needs of the children and makes placement recommendations.
The FFPSA requirements for the role of the qualified individual leave broad latitude for state-specific implementation. The researchers are hoping to facilitate learning across states and shed light on what is working and what can be improved in the diverse ways that qualified individuals fulfill their important role.
Are you a qualified individual/independent assessor as defined by the Family First Prevention Services Act? We want to learn from you!
