Today we've published our first Global CommTech Report. It's the result of a big global research project into the attitudes to and use of technology by communications and public relations professionals around the world.
The research was done in partnership with PRovoke Media , which has just published a summary of the key findings. These include:
?? 56% of PR professionals globally believe they are extremely competent or competent in their use of communications technology, according to new research, but this contrasts with the number who are failing to use even quite basic technology in their work.
?? Many PR practitioners are still using spreadsheets for business-critical processes such as project management (41%) and tracking and managing contacts (39%).
?? Communications technology is one of the highest investment priorities for PR teams, ranked first by agencies (34%) and second by in-house (28%).
?? Data and analytics (60%) is the main area of investment, followed by content creation and management (53%) and AI (39%).
You can download the full report from our website. You don't need to give your email address to access it, but we'd be grateful if you signed up for our fortnightly PR Futurist newsletter. ??
It was a big project with some fascinating findings. Thanks to all our partners PRovoke Media , Chartered Institute of Public Relations , International Communications Consultancy Organisation , World Communications Forum Association (WCFA) , AMEC Measurement and Evaluation , NewsWhip , Presspage , PRophet and Stickybeak .
I'd love to get your feedback on what you think of the results.
