|| New research - injury prevention in adolescents. ||

 

The following systematic review by Soomro et al looked at the efficacy of structured injury prevention programs containing a combination of warm-up, neuromuscular strength, or proprioception training in the reduction of injury risk ratios of adolescent sports people.

Their finding was that structured injury prevention programs yielded up to a 40% risk of injury risk in these populations and should be utilised by clinical practitioners (eg, orthopaedics, physical therapists) and sports practitioners (eg, strength and conditioners, coaches).
