New requirements for obtaining the Swiss Citizenship will enter into force on January 1st 2018

At the end of 2015, the Swiss Parliament enacted a new law, imposing new requirements for obtaining the Swiss Citizenship. The Swiss Government recently decided that the date of entry into force of said law will be January 1st, 2018. The persons who fulfill the current requirements (or who will fulfill them prior to December 31, 2017) should seriously consider the opportunity to submit their naturalization application under the existing legislation.
