New Relic FutureStack in NYC
After making summer stops in London and Berlin, New Relic is bringing the thought leadership and hands-on training of FutureStack17 to New York. FutureStack17: New York convenes on September 13 and 14 at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, just steps from the Broadway.
Digital Intelligence at Cloud Scale
Our vision for FutureStack has always been to bring together people from around the industry to learn about the big changes and trends impacting how you architect for success. The challenge for technology leaders and practitioners is clear—put the cloud to work to create a dynamic business. To do that, you need to keep expanding your toolset, and our flagship event focuses on four session tracks to do just that:
DevOps and Reliability at Scale is designed to help both new and experienced DevOps practitioners clearly see the impact of changes across complex systems, enabling development and operations teams to come together to drive the business forward, faster. Sessions include How Dealertrack Optimizes the DevOps Toolchain and How to Use APIs to Extend Observability Across Distributed Systems.
The Digital Moments of Truth track was developed to help companies determine what it really means to achieve reliability at scale, with real-world success stories from New Relic customers on how they conquered everything from Black Friday to releasing popular new features. It’s the perfect place for operations leaders, CTOs, CDOs, and others to gather best practices on how to come through when the stakes are highest. Sessions include our ever popular Celebrity Dashboards and DraftKings on Launching With Confidence at Scale
Observability and Analytics: How to Know What You Don’t Know is designed for developers and operations leaders who want to improve how they build and manage dynamic infrastructure, fine-tune application efficiency, and create great mobile and browser experiences. Don’t miss sessions like The APM Growth Curve: Driving DevOps Maturity and Cloud and Container Monitoring: Now You’re Playing With Power.
Did someone say training?
New Relic University’s first graduating class
So the fourth track at FutureStack17: New York belongs to New Relic University, which provides laptop-open training classes that can raise your skill level with every tool in the New Relic Digital Intelligence Platform: New Relic APM, Insights, Mobile, Browser, Synthetics, Infrastructure, and more. Class titles range from Power User Tips & Tricks to New Relic for Ops.
But FutureStack17: New York raises the bar here, too, with the introduction of a special certification course designed to prepare attendees to take the brand new online New Relic Digital Platform Associate Certification exam. This certification demonstrates proficiency in using New Relic APM to build successful digital intelligence implementations.
Led by a team of New Relic’s senior technical instructors, the course will be held the afternoon of September 12, the day before FutureStack17: New York’s official kickoff. Space is limited—sign up when you register for FutureStack.
Keynote stars and industry leaders
Keynote attendees will receive insights from world-class thought leaders like best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell and technology analyst extraordinaire Ray Wang from Constellation Research, and hear about the latest New Relic news and products from our founder and CEO Lew Cirne.
And those are just the headliners. Our stellar speaker lineup also includes a litany of luminaries sharing real-world stories of achieving digital business success with New Relic:
- Airbnb Software Engineers Melanie Cebula and Cameron Tuckerman-Lee
- Appboy Co-Founder and CTO Jon Hyman

Don’t forget the fun!
As always at FutureStack, fun is an essential part of the event. On Wednesday, September 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., this year’s party takes over the Playstation Theater in the heart of Times Square, just steps from FutureStack17: New York.
The theme? “Welcome to the Future,” with a special performance by iLuminate, a celebrated fusion of technology, lights, and movement that creates a “visual experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen.” And we’ll also have an eclectic collection of interactive games and activities, modern food experiences, top-shelf beverages, and much more.
With a little help from our friends
