New Product Release: Ledestar “Nova” White LED For Horticulture Lighting

Improve the chlorophyll uptake efficiency

In June 2023, Ledestar launched the ledestar Nova chlorophyll absorption efficiency horticulture lighting?LED, expanding Ledestar's rich horticulture lighting LED product portfolio.

Plant growth mainly requires red light (wavelengths 640 to 700nm) and blue light (wavelengths 400 to 490nm). The absorption peak of chlorophyll a has the blue light region at 430nm, the red light region at 665nm, the absorption peak of chlorophyll b at 465nm and the red light region at 650nm. Combined with the above absorption spectral characteristics of chlorophyll a / chlorophyll b.

450nm blue light chip is mainly used to stimulate the phosphor in the manufacture of?white LED. Such white light lacks the spectrum composition at 430nm, and the absorption efficiency of chlorophyll A is reduced, which affects the synthesis and generation of photosynthesis in plants.

There are also 437nm blue light chip to stimulate phosphor. Such white light lacks the spectral composition at 465nm and reduces the absorption efficiency of chlorophyll b, which will also affect the synthesis and generation of photosynthesis in plants.

As required for the above reasons and combined with the life requirements of plant lighting Q90, Ledestar launched Nova LED. This LED is mainly developed by combining the absorption spectral characteristics of chlorophyll A and b, while taking into account the requirements of long life, using 437 + 460nm excitation phosphor solution to improve the absorption efficiency of chlorophyll A and b.

Compared with 437nm excited white light, Nova chlorophyll a absorption efficiency is 0.19% higher, and chlorophyll b absorption efficiency is 0.75% higher;

Compared with 450nm excited white light, Nova chlorophyll a absorption efficiency is 2.76% higher, and chlorophyll b absorption efficiency is 0.63% higher;

Nova has now added two new products (282H and 303H), 282H and 303H, respectively, covering all the white light color temperatures required for plant applications. All products maintain excellent radiation flux as well as a superior service life of over 54,000 hours and withstand high temperature environments.
