New Portrait and Food Work
I recently crafted some portraits of restaurateur Uyen Nguyen for the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business. The photo shoot took place at Nguyen's restaurant, Nue, in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Nguyen, who is a graduate of the business school, has traveled the world and her restaurant reflects the many cultures and flavors she has experienced.
I also made some images of the food she serves
ABOVE: Chengdu Spicy Jumbo Chicken Wings - green Szechuan peppercorn, fish sauce, lime, chili, basil, mint, and Thai chili.
ABOVE: Brazilian Acarajé - fluffy fritters made from peeled black eyed peas, gently fried in red palm oil. Split and stuffed with Vatapá - spicy mixture of prawns, cashews and spice.
