A new Podcast focused on running software Professional Services, Success, and Implementation

A funny thing happened a month or 2 ago. I was having breakfast with a friend from Endeca (he loves the formal breakfast instead of the crowded coffee chat). As we were talking, it had become clear that we had both been contacted by a local CEO that was looking for best practices in Customer Success, services, etc. When I had talked to a few more peer friends, they had been contacted as well.

As I chatted with my former coworkers, I realized that we had learned lots of great lessons. We had been parts of companies with great leaders and exits (Endeca, Brightcove, Virgin), all during the time when the perpetual license model faded away and SaaS started taking over the world. I made a comment out loud that I should just record these conversations and release them as podcasts, and nobody laughed in my face. So that is what I will be doing here- chatting with some very respected people that have “been in the trenches” getting services teams off the ground, launching new types of groups to service customers, or running agencies that do not have a product attached to it. We tell some stories, get into the details, and have some laughs as well.

The podcast is titled “GSD - Getting Services Done.” I have been always very proud of the PS teams that I have worked with, as they are true GSD (Get Sh!t done) types, and are focused on one thing- ensuring customer happiness. If you know someone (and that could be yourself) that would be great for the podcast, I would love to meet them. I am tucked away in my Boston community and would appreciate hearing from leaders in other cities, states, and countries.

I hope you enjoy!
