Diageo's beer profits lowest in 3 years ??
Diaego’s beer sales totalled £3.4 billion for the financial year that ended in June, yet accounted for just 14% of the company’s total revenue. In comparison, its spirits and liqueur portfolio accounted for 81% of its total profits. According to Axios, the brand is seeking to sell its beer brands after a slow year.
Shoppers to spend £5BN during Christmas week ??
According to the latest data from NIQ, grocery sales growth is expected to peak over Christmas week. This comes as leading supermarket sales growth slowed to 6.8% in early December as shoppers prioritise saving to take advantage of last-minute promotions. 38% of branded FMCG goods sales in the last 4 weeks have been on promotions.

Supermarkets announce reporting tool for carbon emissions ??
A new 'breakthrough' footprinting model has been announced as supermarkets aim to reach government targets. The system comes from the AI data company 'Mondra'. It will map the lifetime carbon footprint of products using a system of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs).?Some names on board include Tesco, M&S, Asda and Ocado.

Vegan shoppers are ecstatic as the brand selling seafood alternatives becomes available in Asda stores. The launch comes despite a decline in plant-based product sales in 2023. Available from 3 January in the chiller section, Happiee’s Shrimpiee and Breaded Shrimpiee start at RRP £3.50
Aardman Animations and Fry's collab on vegan nuggets ??
Tomorrow sees the arrival of a new Chicken Run film. Vegan brand Fry Family Food Co has partnered with Aardman Animations to create a new breaded vegan nugget. The products will go on sale in Tesco, Iceland and The Food Warehouse on Boxing Day.
