Greetings!
Welcome to the eleventh edition of the Place Brand Insider newsletter here on LinkedIn. Today, I'm excited to announce TPBO's inaugural Place Brand Impact Story Competition.
The Place Brand Impact Story Competition recognizes excellence in place branding that aligns with UN sustainable development goals.
Participants benefit from global recognition for good work being done, and the opportunity to develop and share unique place brand impact stories that encourage and encompass sustainability and regenerative development.
Participation is open to all cities, regions or countries and is free of charge.
Entries are evaluated by an international judging panel - which also serves as the advisory board for the competition.
What makes this competition special?
Created together with the world's leading place brand impact makers, this competition offers a unique opportunity to illustrate how your place branding endeavours uphold the principles of the International Place Branding Association (IPBA) and align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
Integrating sustainable development and ethical practices into place branding strategies is imperative to boosting the community identity and reputation of a place by promoting practices that ensure the well-being of both the environment and the community.
We have worked hard to come up with a set of evaluation criteria that will help us identify the best of the best in place branding. Check the details here.
Who will evaluate entries?
Entries will be evaluated by our esteemed international judging panel - distinguished leaders in place branding and sustainability, who have also helped us develop this impact story competition over the last few months.
Deadline for Story Submission: June 30, 2024
Register your interest now and submit your story before June 30, 2024.

?? Meet: Place Brand Impact Makers
We often hear the question: Who are the leading place brand impact makers?
We spent the last ten years finding out - through peer nominations. The result is our Global Atlas of Place Brand Professionals . We still have around 150 professionals to add who have been peer-nominated. And every time we publish a new interview, new nominations come in.
Larger markers on the map show members of our Hall of Fame - those who have received three or more nominations from peers.
And we offer the option of professional profiles to give those nominated an opportunity to showcase their vision, achievements and contributions to the place branding community.
You too can make it on the map and get a Professional Profile! All you need is a nomination from someone already on the map. A small creation fee applies for full profiles similar to those of David Downs , Dr Natasha Norman , Stu Speirs , Robert Govers or Simon Anholt .

Participate in the competition, join us in celebrating the impact makers, or find inspiration in our Place Brand Leaders yearbook .
Thanks for reading and if we haven't yet - let's connect .

7 个月Really looking forward to the impact stories that emerge with different aspects of sustainability woven into the place branding narrative. My suspicion is many places will be strong on one facet with lots of great sustainability stories that go under the radar… and distinctive place brands unaware of emerging sustainability credentials. Only this morning I reviewed a survey about strong progress and resident perceptions of sustainable travel in Dublin… though it might not be a strong part of how the Irish capitol is publicly portrayed ????
