We are in a world that is pivoting right now, and that certainly goes for events.

I have been in Event Marketing for over 20-years, and one of the most unique, NOW Communication tools that I have identified is Text for Marketing and now most definitely Text for Events.

Pre-Virtual Event Marketing:

  • Reminders for Registration
  • Pre Virtual Event Text Updates: New Speakers and Class Details & New Exhibitors that may be added to Virtual Tradeshow 
  • Pre Event Surveys to maintain engagement 
  • Refer a Colleague Registration Referral Form Campaign 
  • Paid Sponsor Features 

Virtual Event Day of:

  • 15-20 mins before the Virtual Event, Text a Reminder to Log-in
  • Share Speakers Content directly to their phone to reference during and after the Virtual Event
  • Send Simple Post-Speaker Surveys within seconds of the end of the session
  • Two-Way Messaging Enabled for General Questions about the event during the event
  • Create a Keyword for each Session for Two-Way Messaging with "room monitor."
  • Add Text to Join or Text to Donate, to the "frame" of your Virtual Event Screen

Post Event

  • Post Event Survey
  • Post Virtual links to Saved Event, or monetize offering copies of the event
  • Calls for Action, Schedule a Demo, Register for the next event...

Virtual Tradeshow

  • Create a Keyword for individual Sponsors
  • If any attendee is interested in a particular Sponsor, they can text in the keyword for that vendor for more information

Virtual Happy Hour

  • Let Attendees know if they stay for the last session and Text a Keyword Happy Hour code at the end of the Virtual Event they will be sent a link to post-event Zoom Happy Hour 
  • They will also be entered to Win Sponsor Prize / Registration for next event
  • During the Happy Hour, send out the Scratcher Game Pieces via text every 15 minutes to those who Opted in for Sponsored Happy Hour.  (This Scratcher Text-Game is solely provided by Textmunication)
