New Peripheral Artery Disease Awareness Commercial

It is a movement driven by the patients, for the patients.

Linda Dalton, the creative mind behind this innovative advertisement, was not only an owner of a boutique advertising firm but also a victim of peripheral artery disease (PAD). Unfortunately, she passed away recently due to complications arising from blocked arteries in her abdominal area. However, before her untimely passing, Linda dedicated herself to locating other PAD Warriors who were willing to share their own experiences and inspire others to seek early diagnosis for a chance at living a longer and better life.

In this commercial, the remarkable group of passionate PAD Warriors (whom I appreciate so much!) led by Douglas Fugate - Co-Chair of The Way To My Heart 's PAD Warrior Taskforce, and supported by Co-Chair Douglas Salisbury CMT, CDP, CAOF and Nurse Practitioner Kay Smith - eloquently articulate the underlying reasons why physicians tend to disregard textbook symptoms such as leg pain, leg cramps, and neuropathy.

Their mission is clear: raise awareness about these often-dismissed symptoms so that people can receive timely medical attention.

By sharing their stories and promoting early intervention through diagnosis and treatment options, they aim to empower individuals with PAD while encouraging proactive healthcare practices.
