New Paper Reveals That BVI Is More Effective than BMI

Is Body Volume Index (BVI) better than Body Mass Index (BMI)? It’s a question we are always asked, and we always believed it to be true, but now we have the proof.

On April 5th, Mayo Clinic presented a paper at the annual American College of Cardiology Conference, where over the past 10 years they have conducted a study measuring 15i combinations for body volume for predictive risk of diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular risk.

The technology used in the?Body Volume Index 3D scanner?referred to in the article has been transferred into the online BVI products and this is the first result of a long-detailed trial from one of the world’s most prestigious medical research facilities.??

The paper concluded that the Body Volume Index correctly assesses around 81% of people for their metabolic syndrome, as opposed to 68% for the Body Mass Index, an improvement of 19% over BMI in real terms.

Unlike BMI, BVI is not about how much we weigh but where the weight is, and that should tell us what the health risks are for all of us, depending on where we each carry our own weight. This paper is the first step in proving that this assumption was right and that BVI is better than BMI.
