We are hiring for a new position of Management Accountant. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively working with our Management Team to deliver regular Financial Reporting, whilst developing financial analysis of the business. You will oversee the Finance fuction of our UK business, whilst also reporting to our group company, Blue Planet Environmental Solutions. This position may require overseas travel.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring proper and correct accounting and maintenance of accounting books in the accounting software
- Ensuring effective and smooth month end financial closure and preparation of Financial Statements
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP for preparation of required schedules, reporting templates and Financial Statements
- Monthly MIS reporting to Group Company Finance Team and Investors
- Preparation of schedules and review of Key Financial Control areas such as Revenue,
- Expenses, Fixed Assets, Loans and Payroll
- Handling all audit exercises including Stat audits, Internal audits, tax audits as well as other due diligence exercises
- Preparation of Budgets and Business Plan as well as monitoring of the same
- Coordinating and gettng updates from different departments to ensure effective reporting
- Preparation of Business Review Templates and reporting the same to Senior Management
- Closely monitoring cost to completion of Projects and Contracts and adherence to budgets
- Ensuring effective working capital management
- Ensuring effective compliance of all direct as well indirect tax laws including Computations, returns, filings and tax claims and refunds
- Ensuring Payroll sheets, reconciliations are prepared correctly and ensuring all social security and employee related rules and regulations have been complied with
- Ensuring Company Law and other regulatory compliance and monitoring of the same
- Strong analytical, interpretative and commuication skills
- Extremely focussed in meeting timelines
- Possessing Multi-tasking capabilities
- Capability to coordinate with different teams in the UK and other Regions
- Focused on results and passionate about quality of deliverables
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Additional certifications such as a ACCA or ACA or CPA are a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP standards
