Is the "new normal" boiling you?

Have you heard about the story of the boiled frog? Put a frog in a jar of hot water, and it jumps right out, instinctively conscious of the danger.
On another hand, if you place the frog in a jar of cold water and boil it slowly, the frog will gradually adjust his body temperature to the rising heat. By the time the frog realises that it is about to die, it is too late. The frog has wasted all its energy and can no longer jump out and save its life.
In this ever-changing world that we live, this fable invites us to think. Are we like frogs in hot water? Sometimes we do tend to accept abnormal environments, concepts and relationships and, instead of jumping out of the pot at the first sign of danger, we make small movements to “adapt” and when we realise the situation it is too late, or we are too tired.
Whether in the workplace environment or personal life, we need to learn how to spot the first sign of potentially dangerous and jump out. Do not accept the “new normal” because it’s a real danger to all of us.
Not all new things are necessarily good for us or for others.
The world today forces us to change; we can’t define ourselves in only one way. If we have only one definition of ourselves and stick to rigid values, we might end up being excellent to a world that doesn’t exist anymore. Foremost, we need to adapt without accepting the “new normal” without any criticism, we need to keep values and also suit the environment. Many times, the "new normal" is just old garbage.
When its time to jump? It’s a complex equation for us to solve.
Remember that we are not something; we are becoming something. We define ourselves at each step, and we need to be aware at each stage, each second, to be able to detect early warning signs, the environmental condition and make our decision on time, control the process of reinventing ourselves.
If you are not happy, then you are not in the right place. Being happy is part of it all. Happiness is a symptom of harmonious and ethical coexistence. Nowadays, there is real anger around us; wrong values are hidden behind the “new normal”: fundamentalism, modern slavering, patriotism, hate speech, animal abuse and corruption appears to be normal. Almost unnoticed, it is boiling us.
Remember every day that we need a better world, and we are the only animal that can make conscious changes. There is nobody out there but ourselves, humans, to do this job. If our world is not how we would like it to be, that means that we are not how we would want to be, not entirely.
All I am saying is if you feel that something is not cool just use your voice and say it. If you are not happy, then just jump out! Don't be boiled.
