New newsletter on Longevity Biotech
Hello everyone! About time to start a Newsletter on Linkedin so giving it a go! I am passionate about improving the human condition, I believe in a society where the major challenges we are currently facing can be solved. Observing the world rationally, the biggest problem from both an economic and humanitarian standpoint are age-related diseases, subsequently this is something I knew I wanted to dedicate my life towards. This is what I intend to pursue my career in, entrepreneurship in biotech and health tech to help create innovation in this field.
"Longevity" is a very broad field encompassing many transdisciplinary areas of scientific research aimed at reversing age-related disease. At some point in the future there will be a combination of therapies available that can fully and comprehensively restore health in an individual. Many of these technologies are being developed today by academic labs and biotech companies worldwide and it is still not fully known how it will end up fitting in the "big picture".
Therefore longevity is an ideal field for the curious polymath who is driven by generating impact, it is not something that is served to you, but that you have to dive into and explore (although a biology degree gives a small amount of help). Think about the fact that currently living humans are a 4-billion old genetic code, suddenly in the last fraction of evolutionary history we have suddenly developed the life science tools to take charge of our lives and control our destinies.
