Y.O.U.N.G
Formed last year, the band melt diverse influences from Twenty One Pilots to LOGIC to create their own head rocking slice of alt-pop.
The UK 5-piece consist of vocalist/lead guitarist Chez Davis, pianist/rapper Ben Donaldson, guitarist/producer Jamie Skehan, bassist Tom Whitehead and drummer Graeme Stuart Smith (AKA DJ Yetii). They mix hip hop grooves with driving guitar riffs and quirky electronica, finished off with interchangeable rap and rock influenced vocal hooks.
AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Y.O.U.N.G will be popping up everywhere over the summer with a major awareness campaign across billboards, radio, magazines and social media.
LIVE
Y.O.U.N.G are signed up with Live Nation and recently completed a hugely successful debut headline UK tour, ending with a sold out hometown show at Manchester's Deaf Institute - watch here. They also played to the Wembley Stadium crowd prior to the England v Italy game in March. Further European headline dates are now on sale, with more to be announced soon.
SUMMER SHOWS & FESTIVALS
Y.O.U.N.G will be performing to thousands of people across the summer supporting top names and a whole host of main stage festival slots.
RELEASES
Taster singles ‘What I Gotta Do’ and ‘Exposure’ set the band up nicely for a busy promotional period supporting their first single proper, in the form of ‘Lazy'.
Following great reviews, the tracks gained national radio airplay and a live BBC radio session. ‘Lazy’ was the first single to benefit from a full promotional campaign, picking up radio support across the UK, having it’s video premiered on Clash, and hitting number 5 in the Music Week Club Charts, and 6 in their Commercial Pop Charts.
RADIO / TV
Following on from the successful Radio 2 session at Christmas, the band have received extended radio support across the UK, including BBC live sessions and embeds with BBC Talksport, as well as numerous TV plays across the Winter Olympics, the Australian tennis open and BBC Football focus.
