NEW made in the U.S.A. DEF Hose
Clean Seal has completed its rigorous testing and has a full inventory of the only DEF Hose made in the United States.
All hose manufacturers, including Parker import their DEF hose.? Many current Diesel engine users have been using heater hose rather than DEF hose, as they could not find the quantity, they needed or timely delivery.? This is basically because the OEM Truck manufacturers, GM, Ford, Chrysler etc. are purchasing most of the DEF Hose that is being imported.? That is why Clean Seal developed its own product line, to support those who need DEF hose.
Clean Seal Inc. would like to work with users or distributors in order to get the proper product. One large work truck manufacture recently told us, “They are going to continue to use standard heater hose for their DEF hose as they always have.? They’re convinced that using heater hose as DEF hose is fine and aren’t concerned with it breaking down and disabling the fuel system.

?Sulphur vs. Peroxide Cured Hose Heater Hose vs. DEF Hose
Although Auto Rubber Hose Clean Seal has a big range of normal “sulphur”-cured EPDM Heater Hoses, the demands for EPDM peroxideide-cured hoses are increasing continually. Sulphur cured hose (heater hose) tend to break down faster and create issues in the DEF systems. (particle clogging)
The main benefits of EPDM peroxide-cured DEF Hose over ir sulphur-cured brethren are:
领英推荐
1.It meets or exceeds SAE-J20 Class D-3
2.It meets the requirements of SAE J1684 (electro-chemical resistance)
3.It has improved chemical resistance (including resistance
4.It has higher temperature resistance up to 150 degrees Celsius (300F)
5.Enhanced Modulus and Compression set
6.It has less tendency to blooming to organic-acid-based / OAT coolants)
?
Peroxide-cured EPDM material can withstand temperatures up to 150oC (300oF), whereas sulfur-cured material is suited only for temperatures up to 120oC (250oF). Peroxides are also known to improve the compression set characteristics of the compounds to which they are added, so the same can be expected of the peroxide-cured EPDM material, too.
