A New Look for Spring

Over the last decades Orbit has evolved from a small company developing specialized high speed tracking pedestals, to one of the leading global providers of mobile satcoms, ground stations and airborne audio systems.  We embrace our core strengths of innovation coupled with robust and reliable engineering.  

We spend most of our time focused on our customers and creating bright new solutions, but as Spring sprung we took stock of our progress and place in this brave new communications world.   It began with a literal Spring Cleaning, ever a challenge as nearly all engineers are inveterate pack rats.  In less than a year’s time we will be moving our headquarters and primary manufacturing facility to a splinter-new building, and this was a gentle first step to prepare for a new environment.

We also decided it was time to rethink and update our outward appearances. – a combination of a figurative Spring cleaning, and getting new outfits for the Spring holidays.  We looked first at our slogan, and our expanded customer base and range of products make it difficult to capture in a few words what Orbit represents. Some companies can relate their products to an attitude – think  “Just Do It” or “We Try Harder”, while others highlight their product, like Red Bull with “It Gives You Wings” (which works much better than the more accurate “It Gives You the Shakes”).

Orbit has had fine earlier slogans, highlighting our culture of innovation and agility to develop new solutions.  We invited staff across the company to put on a Marketing hat and submit their ideas, and while well impressed by the creativity and ideas, we were more so that this diverse and international group frequently returned to the same theme.   Our company has become truly global, in customer base, staff, and vision, and our innovations help connect people across the globe – whether in an aircraft, at sea, or at home.   We literally and figuratively provide “Communications without Boundaries”.
