New Location...

Welcome! You will find us at 1320 Chase St., Suite 8 in Algonquin, IL. I cannot tell you how excited I am for this next venture. As many of you may know, I was in dire need of space! As my business has grown, I had run out of room. I spent the good part of a year looking for the perfect building. Some were too small. Some were smelly. Some had no washrooms. Some the location wasn't ideal. And of course, there's a thing called the budget. The list goes on. I am thrilled to say that in January I signed a lease and found exactly what I had envisioned. I now have expansive storage, a packing area, a dishwashing center, an employee lounge, washrooms, and a GORGEOUS design center in an ideal location.

None of this came without some good old-fashioned elbow grease though. I rented a floor washing machine to clean the floors and a scissor lift to dust and clean the warehouse rafters. Yes, I did this work along with several of my team members. After ripping out the commercial carpet squares, new flooring was laid in the design center. New paint, new doors, new trim and more have turned this once dreary space into a cheery welcoming place to be. My team and I have done some serious hard work to be ready to greet our clients.

When starting with an empty building, I relied on my Facebook American Rental Association (ARA) members to point me in the right direction for locating steel tables, a commercial dishwasher, sinks, carts and shelving. Utilizing online auctions and commercial estate sales, I found everything I needed. My team and I are so grateful to have three large steel sinks to wash, rinse and sanitize our vintage place settings. And the commercial dishwasher cleans and sanitizes all of the packing crates and new inventory. Life is much easier and efficient now!

Once the space was cleaned and updated came the job of moving all of my inventory here. With many trips from Crystal Lake to Algonquin with my cargo van, we have almost everything in its new spot. Our soft opening began in April in a makeshift area. Now that it is May, my design center is bustling with clients, and I couldn't be happier. The reaction of our clients when they walk in is indescribable. Our display tables are set, so clients can see what is possible. We are not planners. However, a table scape is an integral party of any special occasion, and that is what we do. By appointment only, we assist the client in fulfilling their vision.

Well friends, I am sure you can imagine that my work life balance has been a bit out of whack! A busy few months for sure...but all good stuff! This is the first step in me being able to take a day off as my team is in place and my location is complete. My dream. My passion. My vision is being fulfilled.
