The New LinkedIn Analytics Feature Will Help Your Business Grow

The New LinkedIn Analytics Feature Will Help Your Business Grow

There is a big difference when it comes to getting clear on our business goals.

When it comes to content creation, we can either throw spaghetti at the wall and hope it sticks, or we can look and see what is actually resonating and landing in front of the right people.

That is why the new "LinkedIn Content Analytics" feature is so important.

Here is what LinkedIn had to say about it:

"Last year we rolled out?Creator Mode?on LinkedIn and since then, more than 5.5 million people across the globe turned on the feature to establish their voice, unlock new opportunities, and build an engaged audience.

  • In the past year alone, we’ve seen a nearly 50 percent increase in the number of people following people who have turned on creator mode
  • We’ve seen a nearly 30 percent increase over the past year in the engagement on content created by people with creator mode turned on?

We’re adding more tools and features to empower creators. Here’s a look at what’s new:?

  • New Creator Analytics: From total impression numbers to engagement statistics, you can now see what’s working and where you can improve your content strategy. We'll be rolling out additional insights and analytics in the coming months, so consider this a first step in what's to come— stay tuned!

  • Improved individual post analytics: You’ve always been able to see analytics on your posts — but we’re adding a new level of detail. You’ll now see your analytics detailed on a summary page, along with more in-depth data like impressions and shares. This data is available for all post types, whether it’s an article, video, or text post."

You see, when you can fully grasp how your content is landing in the laps of those you are looking to impact, it becomes a game-changer for your business, brand, and marketing strategy.

Here are 3 big reasons why:

1. It allows you to take a 10,000-foot view of your content:

Too often we are just "throwing spaghetti at the wall" when it comes to our content, hoping something sticks. If you don't know what your audience is resonating with, how do you expect to know what to continue posting about in your content?

This is why it is so important to take that 10,000-foot view of the content you are creating. These analytics literally rank your content from best to worst for engagement and impressions.

Facts are friendly, and you must use these analytics to your advantage.

2. You can see exactly what is resonating and what is not:

As you start to look at your top-ranked content in regards to engagement and impressions, you can clearly and visibly see what is and what is not sitting well with your audience.

This gives you the much-needed insight into what you should stop creating, and what you should create more of. For me, my LinkedIn polls and LinkedIn Live trainings get the most engagement and impressions so you better believe I am going to double and even triple down on that content since it is what is resonating most with my connections.

It's not about the vanity metrics at all (likes, comments, views), but what it is about is how much of the information and education that I am sharing is resonating with the reader, listener, or watcher of my content.

Create more of what is working and move away from what is not working.

3. It allows you to be able to create more content that people want and less of what you think people need:

There is a huge difference when it comes to creating content that you think people need, rather than creating content that you know people want.

That is why this new feature is so important for our businesses and brands. Numbers and facts don't lie.

As my mother Nancy Siegel always told me, and still does to this day,

"Facts are friendly" - Nancy Siegel

You can't argue with the facts of what LinkedIn is showing you. They want us to all succeed and get the most out of this platform.

Why do you think they show us what they do?

Because not only do they want us to know what is working for our businesses, but they are also letting us know what they want us to keep creating for the platform. It is ingenious and I stronger encourage all of you who read this to pay close attention to what your audience wants from a content standpoint and make it a goal of yours to create as much of that content as you can on a consistent basis.

Let me know in the comments below...

Are you going to use this new feature to your advantage?

Getting out of my comfort zone is my greatest challenge here.
