This is a call-out for people interested in navigating and thriving through this period of accelerated change; people wanting to future-proof themselves and the people and organisations around them; in short, it's a call-out for people who want to embrace, champion and enable learning agility!
For those who haven't met me, learning agility is a topic I've been obsessing over for sometime.
In fact, I've spent the last few years designing, crowdfunding, building and launching the Learn2Learn app, an app designed to support individuals to develop learning agility. As we speak, I'm working on an enterprise version of Learn2Learn which includes an out-of-the-box blended learning campaign to help organisations enable their people with learning agility.
---- SHAMELESS PITCH ALERT - I WON'T BE OFFENDED IF YOU WANT TO SKIP THE NEXT BIT!
The enterprise version for Learn2Learn is launching in May 2018 as a licenced model for organisations, please message me if you'd like the info pack including prices. Go on, you know you're curious, after all you didn't skip this bit despite my warning ;D
---- OKAY, YOU'RE CLEAR - BACK TO THE ARTICLE PROPER
Despite all my research and work, I'm clear that I have so much more to learn in this area. I also believe that this is a key part of preparing for the future — so I'm very motivated to continue exploring.
As a result, I've kicked off a series of articles on the topic of learning agility. I call them 'articles', but in truth they're my thinly disguised attempts at working-out-loud, encouraging discussion, sharing stories, and ultimately learning more about this crucial topic.
Care to join me?
The first article is now live on Learning Solutions Magazine and serves as an introduction and call to action on the topic, but it's only the start of what I have planned.
I'll keep updating this page as new article go live and I hope it can be another area where we can continue this conversation.
Be a part of this initiative by sharing, liking, leaving a comment. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this topic so please don't be shy.
For now please check out the introductory article on Learning Agility: Building Learning Organisations by clicking here.
If you do find it useful, please share the article from Learning Solutions Mag itself (Full disclosure, the column is on probation for 6 articles and I'm hoping your interest will prompt the editors to give it a longer run. :D ).
Big thanks for your interest and hopefully support in this journey!

THE LEARNING AGILITY SERIES (This will be updated as new articles go live)
------------------------------------
PUBLISHED SO FAR:
Learning Agility: Building Learning Organisations - it's live now, so have a look.
The must-read introduction article that defines 'learning agility', presents several models (in nice, easy to consume infographics) and spells out the intention for the series. At this point, I can honestly say it's the best thing I've ever written for Learning Solutions Magazine... okay, it's the only thing I've ever written for them. But it's still worth a read :D

COMING SOON:
Learning Agility: Anatomy of a Learning Campaign (scheduled for April)
An interview with Brian Murphy from CitiBank on the innovative and award winning campaign they ran to encourage a culture of continuous learning.
Learning Agility: What the Researchers Say (scheduled for May)
I'm looking to interview a who's who of L&D researchers for this article. If all goes well I'll include insights from Laura Overton (Towards Maturity), Aaron McEwan (CEB, now Gartner), and Dani Johnson (previously Bersin, now on her own adventure with RedThread Research). Due to land in May.
Learning Agility: Let's talk about the 'F' word (scheduled for June)
Exploring strategies to encourage fail-safe cultures and innovation. I've got a list of people I intend to interview for this one but won't mention them because I haven't reached out to them yet. It's so far away, this is still a 'future-me' issue.

What else would you like to hear about? Got any leads? Any stories? Or thoughts on this topic? Let me know.
Looking forward to taking this journey with you!

5 年Love what you've written and want to get the app, I'm interested in how at scale you can raise the conscious of others to learning in Agile method through guilds, chapters, agile ceremonies, have you had any experience in that area?

6 年The problem in education can be described as follows: "How do you explain to a blind man the color 'red' who does NOT think he is blind?" the purpose all education is to better our chances of survival. The urge to do so is native. However, to learn is not native when it comes to the predominantly used medium of "words" in our instruction.
Really liked the article and the timing of it. Left a comment on the article page.
