The New Lambourghini Urus to Hit the Roads in 2018

For those who have a taste for speed but also want an SUV, Lamborghini has just released the Urus for that specific customer base. This SUV isn’t the first one of its kind that’s been made by Lamborghini, as they had released the LM002 all-terrain vehicle back in the 1980s and 90s, but they have refrained from producing these types of SUVs since then.
One reason they may have decided to put the Urus in production is that Bentley has released their luxury SUV called the Bentayga in 2016, and had a monopoly in the market over other exotic brands. Bentley had originally decided to add this to their line because their market research showed that their client base wanted something in their car collection that was both ultra-luxurious but also had the practicality of an SUV.
The Lamborghini Urus doesn’t make any compromises regarding their quality or delivery of their product. The same engineering feats that are present in their superfast cars have made their way into this SUV, so potential clients should recognize that there is no downgrade in deliverables and also no decrease in the price. The Lamborghini Urus starts at $200,000 and is set to be released in the United States in spring of 2018.
Under the hood of the Urus is a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 650 horsepower and 627 pounds of torqueand goes from 0 to 62 in 3.6 seconds. It has the makings of other performance cars that Lamborghini makes, but it has the seating capabilities to hold a family of 5 comfortably.
Beyond the performance capabilities, the technology that goes into the Urus is truly astounding. The dash is equipped with two touchscreens that offer climate control settings, call assist features, and has GPS capabilities. There are multiple driving settings available like the Strada, Terra, Neve, Sabba, Sport, and Corsa, which allows the driver to switch back and forth easily, adjusting to the landscape of the road or offroad.
Production of the Urus is already in motion in Italy, and they’ll then be sent for tests in extreme parts of the world and on streets across the globe. The company is expecting to sell about 3,500 of them each year to enthusiasts in the United States and other countries in around the world.
