NEW KONECRANES LIFTACE R5-36 WILL PARTICIPATE ON THE SAVING OF 26000 TONS OF CO2 EACH YEAR.

This machine will increase the capacity of APROPORT the multimodal port of Macon.

 In march 2019,  VIIA  , a branch of French Railways,  incharged of the rolling motorway between Calais and Le Boulou ( close to Perpignan), started a new service departing from Macon. This new service has a strong environmental impact. In 2019 a saving of around 26000 tons of CO2 on the Calais-Le Boulou line, which represents approximately 26 000 trucks that will be transferred from road to rail.

With the increase of the traffic, the acquisition of one more machine was on the plan. Already user of several TFC45 , APROPORT awarded KONECRANES LIFTACE with the order of a New generation R5-36 ( 36 tons in second row) .

In addition to the latest innovations , on APROPORT  demand , the machine is equipped with a premium Pedestrian Detection, (  a warning system aimed at preventing collisions between vehicles and pedestrians. Would a pedestrian enter a danger zone around the vehicle, the driver would be immediately warned by a sounding and a lighting alarm).
