New Kids On The Box

Say hello to the fresh faces and flavours at Karma.

It wasn’t easy prising my hands off the tools at Karma Drinks to make room for some young blood, but it’s a thrill seeing what a talented bunch of people can do when they’re left to get on with it.

The tin shed in the background of the photo above is Karma Global HQ for over twenty markets. Even though a good chunk of time for the team in the foreground has been focussed on keeping the lights on through the turmoil of Covid, they are scoring goals around the world.

Here’s a few highlights from our star players.

Bri Tither led the creation of our latest Karma Kid. Lemmy’s bro, Razza Raspberry Lemonade. Razza has skated off the shelves in Aotearoa and is now available in the UK. Bri's on the right in the photo below with super sales manager Isabelle Benington.

Graphic artist Béa Hug, designed our new range of juices using the Makennah Bold font created by Thomas Brigg, and Ross Stirling as part of the refreshed Karma Drinks brand by the team at Studio Juice before diving into the creation of a new character for Razza. Béa is working on a range of new drinks, keeping the look and feel of the stories we’re famous for as fresh as when we began.

Béa is on the right of the second ‘T’ in taste with the rest of Team Karma UK below; James, Matt, Georgia and our awesome team leader Jessamy.

Simon McLennan has been tirelessly making our drinks even more available in New Zealand, opening up opportunities in supermarkets and grocery stores around the country including 150 Foodstuffs NZ stores which means our drinks can be found pretty much everywhere in Aotearoa.

Not so new but still kidding around, James Boshier has been getting cafés, restaurants and zoos hooked on Karma since he sold the first ever bottle to Kokako in Grey Lynn long before Razza was born.

There are plenty more stars to celebrate, Patrick Coyle, Christiane Kern, Pernilla Da Costa and Kay Johnson have kept our accounts in order through the most challenging time in the history of our company. Adam Turner and Matthew Janz have managed our operations to keep the drinks flowing and our Chairman Ant Howard and board of Directors including our wonderful independent director Emma Loisel have kept us on track.

Most of all our new Chief Executive Ben Dando has brought his family to Aotearoa to help manage the world-wide growth of Karma Drinks. Despite this last year being the worst trading environment in global hospitality ever, Ben has helped us turn a profit. Which really is our definition of awesome.
