The inaugural TLC cohort brought together 28 BIPOC racial equity practitioners who either work in California state government or in community-based organizations—providing participants with?space to connect, share and reflect; analyze policies and?practices in their workplace; and develop recommendations for enhancing their organization's racial equity work. "This cohort gave me what I didn’t know I needed," said one participant.?"I laughed. I cried. I learned. I healed...I definitely recommend this series for all agencies." One learning from the group:?BIPOC employees need racial equity professional development opportunities that center their own learning and relationships.
