New Inclusion Coach resources ??

Happy Friday, VIPs! How's your belly off for spots? (Google it ??)

Lots to update you on. LOTS! This week:

So last time we met our heroine (me ??) earlier in the month, I was feeling a bit meh. Hadn't achieved what I wanted over the last few months, but reflected with gratitude on what I had achieved and exited stage left (not pursued by a bear) (Google that, too ??) for a week off.

The Seven Traits of Inclusive Leaders

I spent my week off in an exhausted puddle. So I took another week off to consciously appreciate having a break. The next week, I eased back in by closing out a couple of client projects and consolidating my recent LinkedIn series about The Seven Habits of Inclusive Leaders into an ebook ??

Why Medium is better for EDI content than LinkedIn

I've also started to write on Medium . The LinkedIn algorithm suppresses social justice content, and I know that my posts are shown to a fraction of the people who follow me. If you follow me on Medium you'll see everything I write, not just the stuff that LinkedIn deems appropriate. I'll also be writing more bloggy, entertaining stuff on there (you'll see there's already a couple of pieces) rather than exclusively about EDI.

I'll still be posting EDI content on LinkedIn every day, but the meaty stuff will be on Medium.

Help yourself and others to succeed

AND, to help everyone crush their goals, I've set up an Accountability Community . I’ve struggled for as long as I can remember with keeping promises to myself and others. I diligently set myself quarterly, weekly and daily goals. I have every intention of sticking to them.?

Every. Intention.?

Then… you know, stuff happens. Life happens. I get to the end of the day/week/quarter and find that I haven’t done what’s needed to achieve those goals. Or I achieve something completely different because it was more fun/important.?

Being self-employed, the only person who’s impacted if I don’t do what I’ve promised myself is me. I’ve read lots of books - Atomic Habits, How to be a Productivity Ninja, The Now Habit, The Twelve Week Year, Getting Things Done - all those inspiring, fire-in-the-belly books that work for about a week, then everything goes out of the window.

What’s missing is external accountability. What’s missing is someone to say ‘YES, I love that goal!’ on a Monday and ‘Yay, crushed it! ??’ or maybe ‘OK, what got in the way?’ on a Friday.

And I know I’m not alone in this.?

So this accountability community is for people to share their goals and share their progress. It’s here for people to cheer each other on, pick each other up, and compassionately challenge each other when needed.

It’s a pretty simple idea - we share up to three goals for the week on a Monday, and update the community on Friday. If a different cadence works for you, no problem.

And it’s private. What’s said in the Accountability Community stays in the Accountability Community.

If you fancy giving it a go, subscribe to the Accountability Community and you'll be hearing from me on Monday!

Help me to help you

I'm firmly back in the saddle this week, creating daily content that helps everyone to build an inclusive mindset. To help me do that, I'd really appreciate you taking a couple of minutes to complete this speedy survey about what kind of content you find most valuable, and where you like to find it. No email required.

Finally, here's your roundup of Inclusion Coach content:

That's it for this week, VIPs. See you next time!
