Hello!
We are Claudia Herling, Ina von Rumohr and Julia Pierzina. Our goal for the next three years is to expand the iGDN network worldwide – from our headquarter in Cologne. The founder and longtime chairwoman Prof. Dr. Uta Brandes was elected to be honorary chairwoman and we thank?Uta for her wise and wide forward engagement!
We invite warmly to contribute und draw from the network in terms of exchange, support, cooperation. We are committed to the task to bring gender-affairs?on the agenda of all design universities, design studios and devolop gendersensitive design methods and to grow the community of gender design experts on an international scale.

Chairperson
Claudia Herling
She is an expert on gender and (digital) design.?She is working as a research assistant at the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences in the Lab for Social Informatics under Prof. Dr. Nicola Marsden.?Besides she has been publishing and teaching in the field of design for over 15 years and she has become a renowned lecturer for different Gender Design topics and workshops. As co-founder of the design studio digitale frische, her design studio digitale frische also benefits from her gender design expertise.?
First Vice Chair
Ina von Rumohr
She gives lectures and workshops on Gender Design at universities and other institutions together with other iGDN activists about her research on Gender Design Education, gender sensitive imaging and more. Ina also represents the iGDN on the board of the German Designtag – which is the umbrella organization of German design associations. In her design studio ?moculade Design Cologne?, she brings her gender design expertise to bear in her daily dealings with clients.

Second Vice Chair and Treasurer
Julia Pierzina
Julia Pierzina takes over the tasks of the treasurer and is the 2nd vice-chair of the iGDN. She is doing research on gender & design at the @HBKsaar for her dissertation and works as an intervention designer at K8 Institute for Strategic Aesthetics. She is the initiator of feminist Wiki edit-a-thons to increase the visibility of FLINTA on Wikipedia and she is a cross-industry speaker on the topic of the gender data gap. Julia Pierzina is committed to socio-political issues, free knowledge and gender justice.
