New IBDP Korean A L&L Teachers' Meeting.
About a decade ago, I formed a IBDP Korean A teachers Wechat group with a few close teachers. The meeting has grown steadily, and recently the number of members has increased to 60.
There are about 80 Korean A teachers I know personally. And I am one of the top among them. There may be no teachers who can deny this. Few of them have not received my help. Also, few teachers do not use the class materials I have developed. In particular, for the past few years, in online, I have taught new teachers how to conduct Korean A classes.
But it's not because I'm outstanding that I'm at the top of this subject. That's because most Korean A teachers are lazy. How many Korean A teachers are constantly studying? I have about five names that come to my mind. The other 75 teachers are almost the same as 10 years ago or now. They are still forcing students to memorize the contents of the reference books.

They say that I don't deserve to be a literature teacher because I majored in engineering in university. But I am a teacher who loves literature and students at least. On the contrary, I think that a person who doesn't love neither literature nor students doesn't deserve to be a literature teacher. So I left the Wechat group.
In any form, teachers are the ones who are responsible for their students' futures after their parents. Therefore, they should study constantly and lead students to build quality knowledge. So teachers should always recognize the weight that is on their shoulders. So teachers need responsibility and integrity. But most Korean A teachers chose their comfort over their students' futures. I can't understand their decision.
I recently contacted five sincere other teachers and formed a new meeting with them. We gather at ZOOM every two months to exchange new teaching methods that each has developed. I look forward to this being a starting point for a change in IBDP Korean A L&L, which has been almost fossilized.
