A new history, catastrophes are not planned, they are confronted and resolved

A new history, catastrophes are not planned, they are confronted and resolved

You are the Academic Director of a University, and an unexpected emergency situation occurs that changes everything you had planned for the semester. What would you do? Much of what happened to us in the pandemics transformed the way we teach; we became a digital faculty in a few days. However, there were cases such as the Tecnológico de Monterrey Mexico City campus where we had a previous emergency, in 2017 there was a very strong earthquake that caused us to move away from the university facilities and become a distance education school in a week while the situation was normalized. The efforts to convert all teachers into digital teachers was truly titanic. This manuscript describes what we experienced and will remain as evidence of that effort, often unappreciated, here the Dean and the Director of the Engineering Division suffered to ensure that educational quality was not diminished and the courses remained normal. As we struggled with the sadness of seeing our campus demolished. Thank you Linda Margarita Medina Herrera and Jose Carlos Miranda for your efforts and, as always, the analytical skills of Olga Patricia Vazquez Villegas .
