“In Tableau there are multiple methods to build a view.

Listed below are the possible methods:

Method 1: We can drag the fields from the Data pane and drop them in the view e.g: Shelves, Cards or the Marks card etc.

Method 2: We can double-click one or more fields in the Data pane.

Method 3: We can select one or more fields in the Data pane and then select the available chart type in the Show Me feature.

Method 4: We can drag a field from the Data pane and drop them in any of the Drop field here areas in the view.

In this article, we will be going through Method 2 (i.e. the double-clicking approach) in detail.”
