New found friend

As the music box gently plays

The lid opens to reveal

A tiny dancer on display

Melodic tunes float away

Like feathers a soothing feel

Turning gracefully as each note plays

Commanding attention

Her beautiful ways

As her arms and body twist and turn

Admiring glances - she does earn

Pivoting like a seedling in flight

Kissed by a dream which is in sight

It’s been a long time since she took centre stage

Stored in an attic for over a decade

Now revived and free again

To share her gift of dance and time

Her love of music so divine

Enchantment and magic fill the air

The wonder of the dancer standing there

Beheld by her audience

A young family

That treasure the music box they have found

The intriguing sweet mystical sound

With the tiny dancer leading the way

Stopping as the notes naturally end

Leaving them all spellbound with their new found friend xx
