A New Form Of Movie Viewing Experience?

DISCLAIMER: It might end up with an unreal prediction but have a read. In my defense, I am going to address Christopher Nolan and his upcoming film “TENET” which will be unreal.

With OTTs heading the race of new online movie releases that were earmarked for theatres this year, there is one entertainment platform that has taken virtual entertainment to another level.

I am talking about Fortnite. To simply put it, it is like PubG (Players Unknown Battle Ground) only much bigger and better.

Fortnite has been hosting many artist concerts in the past for example - A Virtual Concert of Marshmello, Steve Aoki, and more.

Now these concerts went to a whole new level when Fortnite collaborated with Travis Scott.

Instead of Hosting it on a giant screen as per the dynamics of the game, the entire dynamics of the game were changed. The game environment literally transformed whenever there was a song transition, Underwater, Neon Lights, Explosions, etc you name it.

The traction - 28M people attended the concert. How big is that as compared to a regular concert tour? - Travis Scott’s last tour Astroworld saw 700,000 fans over the course of a year in 56 tour stops. Out of that 28M some of them had bought custom-made merchandise from Character Skins of Travis Scott to other merchandise just for the concert. So yes, there is a revenue inflow

But today Fortnite came with another surprise or I would say with another possibility. 

It just did an exclusive screening of the latest trailer of “TENET” directed by Christopher Nolan.

Now why a person of repute like Christopher Nolan would require Fortnite as a destination? Is he looking more than just a trailer launch? Is there going to be another event where the dynamics of the game will change similar to Travis Scott Concert and suite it with the movie “TENET”? Is this a new form of the movie viewing experience?
