New Features in LinkedIn Event Page

LinkedIn has been rolling out so many new features and updates to pre-existing features this year. It is hard to keep up with them.

One of these changes includes the "LinkedIn Event Page".

I saw one event on my home feed last week and decide to explore it a little further. The new changes in the layout and design were nothing I have seen before.

If you have not come across one yet, here is a quick preview for you.

First thing first

You need to click the event window as highlighted in the photo.

Reactions Have Moved

As you can see they now reside on the left-hand side. Before you would find them at the top right corner where "Comments" is now located.

"About" and "Speakers" now have their own separate space

This is great as you can find the relevant information very quickly. It also makes it easier to promote the speaker(s) who will be speaking or cohosting the event.

Event organiser details

This highlights who is hosting or has arranged the event you are attending.

Adding events to the calendar

Once you click "Attend" on the event page, it will show you this prompt.

You can either ignore this by clicking on "Not now" or click "Add to calendar" which will take you to your email account e.g., Gmail, outlook etc.

Follow the instructions and in a few seconds, it will be sitting in your calendar.

Separate Tab for Networking

This is a great move as you can see comments and Networking side by side.

This makes it very easy to see who is attending the event and is a great place to network and meet new people.

This is helpful as you can connect with like-minded individuals or those who work in your industry or a specific profession.
