NEW Feature: How to Pin Posts on Instagram

Instagram has just dropped a new nifty feature on Instagram?-?the option to pin posts to the top of your profile grid.?

It essentially takes a post out of your chronological feed and places it at the top of your profiles grid.?

When would I use it? If you have a post that has really taken off on Instagram and you think it’s a great example of your content – you can pin that. You know it’s already resonating with people, so it gives it an extra boost!?

I’d also use it if there is an important message or campaign you’re promoting. For example, if you’re in the middle of a fundraiser or a volunteer recruitment drive – I would definitely pin your best?call to action post straight to the top.?

?What is really cool, is that you can change these pinned posts as often as you like, so you can switch them out depending on what matters to your brand right now.?

So how do you do it??For once… it’s actually really simple!?

Go to the post you want to pin. Click the three dots in the right hand corner.

Next, select Pin to Your Profile.?

?That’s it! You will now see it has come out of your chronologically ordered feed and now appear at the top with a little pin icon in the corner. If you want to unpin it, it will automatically move back to its original place.?

Pretty cool, right??

?You can pin up to three posts at any one time.?
