Hey loves! I had the pleasure of serving as a chaperone for my daughter's choir who just won state and as a result they performed at Schemerhorn Concert Hall for the Festival of Gold, which by the way, they also won! Their teacher laid the foundation for some exceptional experiences in the midst of the rigor of preparing for the stage with world renowned vocal artists and composers from across the globe. One of which was a concert at the Grand Ole Opry.
Although I've been to Nashville more times I can quantify since I have family and friends who reside there, and have covered all kind of ground as a result, I had never actually been to the Grand Ole Opry considering country has never really been my thing. I mean I would indulge in a country song here or there, and have always loved, loved, loved me some Johnny Cash, but I was always adamant about not being a real deal country fan.?
As I sat in the audience and heard from some of the best in the country space, including Ronnie Milsap and Little Big Town, I was deeply moved by what I heard, and discovered that, I too, actually really enjoy country music. I realized just how powerful the storytelling was, the eclectic nature of the genre, and the shear comedic prowess of the artists.?
What I love about moments like this is they're a reminder that we're invited, always, to expand our horizons through new experiences - whether that be trying a new food dish, getting on that ride, taking that trip, or anything that is unfamiliar to us for that matter.?
Part of living life fully is saying yes to new experiences and allowing the possibilities to unfold. If we only do what we've always done, or assume that certain things are simply not for us, we will miss out on the magic that can only be brought forward by trying on something new. In?E Cubed, Pam Grout indicated she only had two jobs in life: to be curious and to ask more questions, and that ultimately God/Source/Universe will do the rest. And the practice of being curious alone can do us all wonders!

So go on and open up yourself up to the possibilities of the unknown, or in my case be open to the fact that what you believe now may change as a result of immersing yourself in the new.
