A NEW EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME

I am delighted to announce that the Enlightened Enterprise Academy has collaborated with Dr Frederic Schneider to produce a new executive programme and book. “Flat Fluid Flexible: How to be a 21st Century Organisation and Avoid the Pitfalls” will be a 12module programme delivered over 12 weeks from Thursday April 13th.

The programme will be delivered entirely online to a global audience. And it featured a mix of multi-media content available on-demand, plus a weekly live session featuring Frederic in dialogue with an expert guest. The live sessions are repeated twice on the same day, so they are accessible in the maximum number of time zones possible.

This format has been tried and tested with great success with our previous executive programme, “An Introduction to Critical Systems Thinking and the Management of Complexity” which will be offered again from February 21st, 2023. Details

About Flat Flexible Fluid

Hierarchies and bureaucracy kill innovation and make organisations inefficient and slow. Flattening those hierarchies, distributing leadership and initiative, and the need to allocate resources dynamically, are of increasingly critical importance in a world of systemic challenges and existential risks to whole industries and economies.

This programme will give you a more profound multidisciplinary understanding of power, hierarchies, and their role in organisations and will equip you with actionable tools to make your organisation as flat, fluid and flexible as it needs to be, whilst being aware of the common pitfalls to avoid in any transition. ?

While the idea of flat decentralised organisations is very appealing, few organisations succeed in transitioning to such structures, and some that do succeed slide back into traditional command-and-control over time. We will investigate the hurdles organisations interested in this transition face and look at examples of organisations failing to keep this organisational form alive. But we will start by explaining why Flat Flexible and Fluid organisations are the model needed to address the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century.
