Honeywell’s new Connected Life Safety Services App is addressing many of these pain points whilst also retaining compliance with BS5839. This cleverly designed technology seems to have thought of everything when making both the clients’ and engineers’ lives much easier.

This innovative cloud platform enables fire safety engineers to provide a comprehensive service that helps to test fire safety systems with increased accuracy and efficiency, remotely through the app. Removing the need to physically attend the panel to reset after every detector tested, is a massive game changer in terms of increasing engineer efficiency, especially on larger sites.

#CLSS also records servicing accurately, allowing customers and engineers to analyse their data to inform future decision making. Using the app eliminates the human error factor of duplicate checks or omissions spanning multiple service visits which can occur whilst servicing 100% of the system, over 12 months, as per BS5839 guidelines.

This technology is revolutionizing the fire and security industry by offering services such as automatic data recording for accurate results, and a traffic light system which shows which detectors are due for replacement when used in conjunction with #Honeywell’sSmartDetectors – all of which help engineers fulfil BS5839 requirements efficiently.

In terms of compatibility, CLSS is currently only compatible with Honeywell products, but it is working towards developing an interface that will allow it to be retrofitted with any type of system.
