No matter what people were ,are and will be central asset for all types of organizations and technology will always be back up to it . Technology will replace some amount of it but major chunk of any organization will always be PEOPLE. However with time changing there will be different perspective on skills for hiring , Let’s throw light on how the hiring ball game will change.& skills that everyone needs to adapt if you want to survive.
Considering the pace of technology shift & skill gap we need to hire people who are skilled in non-routine work as most of routine work may be automated, these people may not belong to tech skills family but who are ready to transform themselves and ready to put themselves in any mould according to work need.
Talent attraction & marketing are no better to have skills for recruiting, TA will have to close the gap between attraction & retention as TA will have more responsibility towards retaining talent where human analytics, behaviour assessment will play major role. From organizational perspective culture, people, career development plans, core competencies & values will play major role to attract talent
Digital hiring will not only limit to technology but it will also throw light on soft skills, collaborative work approach, the agile and ever transforming nature of business will demand talent who can be easily reskilled, demonstrate ability to transform & adaptable to change & be relevant in long run. As new ways of work require non -hierarchical learning & collaboration throughout.
Future organization will be decentralized, liquid &transparent where it will give people authority to move departments, units, roles. We may no longer hire for specific skills but we will look for talent supply chain that may follow inter connection through departments /units. Internal talent will play major role rather than hiring from externally.
The future holds uncertainty & no one can predict future however the role of TA will never die! TA will survive how he does perfect amalgamation advance technology & skills.
