The Philosophy Behind the Innovation

What sets Precision Goodness apart is its foundational belief in the power of collective action. As someone who has dedicated my career to driving positive change, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of strategic corporate giving. However, I’ve also seen the challenges that corporate foundations, brands, and charities face in maximizing the social and business impact of their charitable efforts. Too often, well-intentioned initiatives fall short of their potential due to a lack of data-driven insights, effective collaboration, and a clear understanding of community needs

.This realization inspired the creation of Precision Goodness, a project born out of a deep desire to help brands, corporate foundations, and charities enhance every dollar invested in social good. By leveraging advanced technologies and fostering cross-sector partnerships, Precision Goodness?is designed to accelerate impact and drive sustainable change across global communities.

For example, the retailer Target showcases the effectiveness of an approach grounded in a deeper understanding of the power of stakeholder engagement to drive real change. Through its “guest-directed giving program,” Target has aligned its corporate giving efforts more closely with community needs, ensuring that its initiatives support and empower the communities they serve. This partnership has enabled more precise targeting of resources, leading to greater community involvement and improved outcomes.

This collaborative approach is supported by findings from a study published in the California Management Review , which shows that firms benefit more when their CSR or ESG initiatives include genuine partnerships with multiple stakeholder groups, NGOs and other corporate partners, rather than merely extending monetary donations.
