A New Era in Beekeeping

Βeekeeping journal is a necessary document for a knowledgeable #beekeeper.?Every competent specialist must keep records of his #apiaries for the adequate breeding of bees.?With the help of the recorded data, the beekeeper can effortlessly estimate the development of apiaries, plan number of colonies, ensure careful selection of bees, as well eliminate in time most deficiencies in weak hives, etc.

Unfortunately, the current journal was created over 100 years ago and has never been updated since. This is acceptable for an apiary of 20-30 hives. But if you manage more than 100 beehives, operating in an industrial way, then such type of operation will destroy you as an entrepreneur. As a result, we invented the blockchain-based logbook, which will not only be used as a communication tool, but will also be able to provide us with profound analytics, reporting and information management system, that will make our apiaries even more efficient.

Thanks to the introduction of the #telemetry and basic data tracking systems, we will be able to assess the level of development of each hive.?As part of the Beenalytics project, we have created not only a new way to collect information, but also a concept of an application, thanks to which the management of any apiary is reduced to data control on a regular smartphone.

It is this application that will become the ultimate tool with which each and every beekeeper will not only easily control all his hives, but also easily scale their production, therefore contributing to the main mission of the #APIZ project: global increase in #honey consumption.
